Vonne Smith has been a technology educator for over 15 years. She started her teaching career with a global IT training company teaching Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite applications. She then transitioned into the public sector working for the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications as the Associate Director of Distance Education. There, she helped facilitate the college’s online Master of Arts in Mass Communications specializations, focusing on course development and instructional design for the remote adjunct faculty. She was also an online adjunct lecturer for the Web Design and Online Communication specialization for the program. Before joining the team at CPAacademy, she was an instructor for an online training provider, logging in over 350 hours of recorded content for the course library. A believer in the importance of continuing education, she has a plethora of vendor certifications including Microsoft Office Specialist, Adobe Certified Expert, CompTIA IT Fundamentals, and ITIL 4 Foundations. She graduated from the University of South Florida was a BA in Humanities and a minor in studio art. Vonne is an avid Tampa Bay Lightning fan and enjoys cheering on the Bolts, bird watching, and popping over to Disney World and Crescent Beach whenever possible.
