Course Description

Join us for a conversation with James Deignan, Founder and Managing Director of Neurodiversity Knows. As awareness of and interest in neurodiversity has recently increased, the conversation has largely focused on understanding common types of neurodiversity. The next step is understanding how to better support neurodiversity in the workplace, both in terms of addressing the historical bias around neurodiversity and in leveraging technology that can help everyone—not just those who are neurodivergent.

James works closely with large companies to address neurodiversity and cognitive inclusion. He will be sharing his experience working with organizations embracing neurodiversity and cognitive inclusion in their DEI efforts. We will discuss how bias around neurodiversity has led to lost opportunities to realize the intellectual capital of the diversity of thought, work styles, and creativity in different processing and thinking styles.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the definition of neurodiversity and cognitive diversity

  • Define the advantages of cognitive understanding and inclusion in the workplace

  • Outline universal technology that can help everyone, not just the neurodiverse
