Course Description

Public companies generally adopted the new revenue standard in 2018, and now it is the turn of private companies.  However, even if you have already completed your implementation, applying the guidance in ASC 606 isn’t a one-time only effort.  The standard must be applied to each new revenue contract entered into, and as business evolves, applying the new guidance may result in corresponding changes to revenue recognition.  This webcast will discuss some of the more difficult aspects of the new standard, and will provide insight into those areas that many public companies struggled with during their initial adoption efforts.

Learning Objectives:

  • Refresh your understanding of the core tenants of the new revenue standard.

  • Identify areas of difficulty in applying the new standard, and understand where other companies have struggled.

  • Identify best practices in applying the new standard, both upon adoption and on an on-going basis.
